R&D Decision, Green Innovation, and Sustainable Investment
Introduction/Main Objectives: The companies face challenges in integrating green innovation into their operational strategies as
awareness of its importance. One approach is increasing investment in research and development (R&D) to encourage environmentally friendly innovation among companies. Background Problems: Sustainability investing is also becoming important, as increased demand from investors who invest not only for financial profit but also have a positive
impact on the environment.. Novelty: This research aims to examine how R&D investment influences a company's environmentally friendly innovation and how this innovation, in turn, affects sustainability investment. Research Methods: The study examines the relationship between R&D investment, corporate green innovation, and sustainable investment in non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period from 2019 to 2022, using purposive sampling for selected sample and totla.sample are 36 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange This research using panel data regresiion and the Sobel test analysis tool for testing the hyphoteses. Finding/Results: The results showed the influence of R&D investment on corporate green innovation and then corporate green innovation influence on sustainable investment. The importance of R&D decisions
in supporting the sustainability of corporate investment should be a priority concern of companies going forward. Conclusion: The findings give practical implications, such as the need for a more collaborative and coordinated approach between the government, private sector, and communities. Sustainability investment requires cross-sector collaboration to identify and implement effective strategies for integrated green innovations in broader economic activities.
