Work Environment and Generation Z Work Engagement
This study aims to analyze the effect of the work environment on work engagement among Generation Z employees in Subang Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach using descriptive and verificative research methods. The population of this study consisted of Generation Z employees in Subang Regency, while the sample comprised 118 Generation Z employees selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS 4 Software. The results reveal that the work environment has a positive effect on work engagement among Generation Z employees in Subang Regency. Furthermore, the findings indicate that a supportive and well-managed work environment plays an important role in fostering higher levels of employee engagement and motivation in the workplace. These findings support the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) Model, which emphasizes the importance of work environment factors in enhancing employee engagement. This study provides practical implications for organizations in creating a supportive work environment to improve work engagement among Generation Z employees and to encourage sustainable organizational performance in the long term.
